DAI Hancheng

Dai Hancheng, Researcher at College of Environmental Sciences and Engineering, Head of the Department of Environmental Management, Peking University, and Doctoral Supervisor. In the past 12 years, he has focused on the field of energy, environment and climate policy analysis, and systematically explored the theory and application around the important topic of the correlation mechanism between green and low-carbon transition and sustainable development goals. He has presided over the projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the national key R&D projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the Wellcome Trust fund projects of the United Kingdom; and has published more than 70 SCI/SSCI papers in high-level academic journals, including 8 papers with top 1% of ESI citations, 7 papers with single citations of more than 100 times, more than 2,500 citations by Web of Science, and H factor of 27. Moreover, he is also a collaborator in the study of global burden of disease, the lead author of the United Nations Environment Programme’s sixth Global Environment Outlook (GEO-6), and the contributor to the Sixth Assessment Report of IPCC. The two policy research reports were adopted by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, which provided a scientific basis for China’s great efforts to realize the goal of "carbon peaking" and "carbon neutrality". He was selected as a Boya Young Scholar, Peking University, and on the list of world's top 2% scientists in the 2020 Annual Scientific Influence published by Stanford University and Mendeley Data.

戴瀚程,北京大学环境科学与工程学院研究员,环境管理系主任,博士生导师。近十二年来专注于能源环境与气候政策分析领域,围绕绿色低碳转型与可持续发展目标关联机制这一重要议题进行了系统的理论与应用探索。主持过国家自然科学基金委项目、科技部国家重点研发项目课题以及英国 Wellcome Trust 基金项目。在高水平学术期刊发表SCI/SSCI论文70余篇,ESI前1%高被引论文累计8篇,7篇单篇被引>100次的论文,Web of Science引用2500余次,H因子27。担任全球疾病负担研究合作者、联合国环境署《全球环境展望6:城市》特别报告主笔作者、IPCC第六次评估报告贡献作者。两份政策研究报告被生态环境部采用,为中国推进“碳达峰”和“碳中和”目标工作的重大需求提供了科学基础。入选北京大学博雅青年学者及由斯坦福大学和Mendeley Data发布的2020年度“年度科学影响力”全球前2%顶级科学家名单。

Human society is inseparable from natural systems. However, since the Industrial Revolution, with the rapid development of the social economy, global temperatures and sea level keep rising year by year, endangering the health of the planet and the food supply, energy production, water security and infrastructure on which humanity depends.

This class will demystify climate change, explore greenhouse gases as causes of climate change, and discuss what we can do to address climate change for achieving sustainable development.
人間社会と自然系は密接に関わり合っています。しかし、産業革命以降、社会経済の急速な発展と共に、地球の気温と海面が年々上昇し、地球の健康を脅かし、人類の食料生産やエネルギー供給、水資源の安全性、インフラ施設にも大きな危害をもたらしています。

当講義では、気候変動の謎を解き明かし、気候変動の元凶である温室効果ガスについて探求し、また、気候変動に対処するためにどのような対策を取るべきか、どんな持続可能な発展を図るべきかを議論します。

人类社会与自然系统密不可分,然而,工业革命以来,随着社会经济的快速发展,全球气温与海平面上升,危及了地球健康,同时也对人类赖以生存的粮食生产、能源供应、水资源安全、基础设施产生了巨大危害。
本课程将带大家揭开气候变化的神秘面纱,探究温室气体这一气候变化祸首。同时,也探讨我们该采取何种行动以应对气候变化,实现可持续发展。
